Research
I have over 25 years of experience in applied social research, with expertise in the use of multiple methods (statistical and qualitative), community-based research, and knowledge mobilization. I have collaborated in multiple projects concerned with reconciling the well-being of societies with external factors such as environmental constraints.
In recent years my work has focused on supporting cancer research and contributing to improved cancer care delivery for better health outcomes and health system improvements in Alberta. My research spans across a number of academic disciplines and research methodologies, and has an important stakeholder engagement component. Projects are designed and conducted in collaboration with colleagues from different academic disciplines and with the active involvement of relevant stakeholders such as patients, their families, clinicians, healthcare providers, program administrators, knowledge users, and policymakers.
